Riccardo Arrighini and Andrea Tofanelli jazz Duo in: - "Verdi in Jazz" - "Puccini in Jazz" - "The great masters of classical jazz" Andrea Tofanelli, trumpet player, and Riccardo Arrighini, pianist, were both born and raised musically in Torre del Lago and Viareggio, in Versilia, on the shores of the lake where Puccini lived most of his life and composed most of his famous works. They trained musically by listening and playing jazz, classical and opera music, and having professional experiences in Italy and abroad in all musical genres. These 3 projects, initially conceived by Riccardo Arrighini for solo piano, have been revisited with the addition of the solo trumpet to enhance the lyricism of this music. They are also available in trio, quartet and quintet formations, or with an added choir of 30 voices.

Koan Jazz Quartet / Quintet3

The Koan Quartet / Quintet was born from an idea and the music of Francesco Santucci (sax soloist of the RAI orchestra of Rome) and offers a vast repertoire of original music and jazz standards, re-proposed and revisited in original and particular arrangements.

Tribute to Maynard Ferguson

Andrea Tofanelli was a guest of Maynard Ferguson's band for several times from 2000 to 2006. In this tribute he proposes the most famous and significant songs of the legendary Canadian trumpet player in their original arrangements.

The Impossible Solos

Andrea Tofanelli is available to perform with your big band the original solos and lead trumpet parts of Maynard Ferguson, Cat Anderson and Bud Brisbois in the original repertoire taken from the orchestras of Maynard Ferguson, Duke Ellington and Stan Kenton.

Yamaha European Jazz Trumpet Summit

Conceived by Yamaha, it gathers its most representative European jazz trumpeters in a summit, accompanied by a local rhythm section. Harmonized arrangements with 4 or 5 horns, highly energetic and incredibly spectacular. The Yamaha European Trumpet Summit brings together and alternates the following European artists in its concerts:

Rüdiger Baldauf (Germany, international jazz soloist, trumpeter of the television band of the "Stefan Raab's Tonight Show"), Frank Brodahl (Norway, international jazz artist), Till Brönner (Germany, international jazz artist, Grammy Award nomination in 2009), Dani Felber (Switzerland, international jazz soloist, winner of the "Swiss Jazz Award 2010"), Andy Haderer (Germany, first trumpet and soloist of the WDR Big Band in Cologne), Andrea Tofanelli (Italy, international jazz soloist, first trumpet and soloist in many broadcasts RAI and Mediaset, collaborated with Maynard Ferguson and Paul Anka).

Italian SuperTrumpets Jazz Summit

A meeting of well-known and appreciated Italian trumpet players, virtuosos of the jazz world. Arrangements of standards and transcriptions of historical solos taken from the repertoire of Dizzy Gillespie, Clifford Brown, Miles Davis, etc ... revisited and harmonized as a section of 4 or 5 trumpets, accompanied by a jazz rhythm trio.

Andrea Tofanelli has formed a beautiful collaboration with the Swiss-German trumpeter Dani Felber and his big band, winners of the "Swiss Jazz Award 2010", developing a solo and big band repertoire that combines the characteristics of both, composed of original songs and reworking of international hits, in order to highlight and bring together the opposite characteristics of the 2 trumpet players.
